Kathleen and her team are hands down one of the best in the city when it comes to weddings!

All of our back and fourth emails and planning made for an incredible day! We really appreciated the ease of access that we had with Kathleen and it helped to ease out minds having that flow of communication.

The day of Kathleen was there checking in on everything and making sure that we were happy with how the day was running.

The food was out of this world unreal! Everything was impeccable and mouthwateringly delicious. We could not get over the portions for the entrées and our guests were happy and stuffed!

The bar tenders were wonderful and kept our guests happy and hydrated all night long!

With the new covid regulations in place the chanterelle team was super in having someone at the door checking confirmation of vaccinations and kept the flow for entry seamless. Having security at the door throughout the night also helped keep our minds at ease with everything!

We recently had our wedding at The Chanterelle. We had postponed from 2020 due to the pandemic and Kathleen and the team at the Chanterelle were so wonderful and accommodating. They made the whole process of constant ups and downs as easy and seamless as could be. They swiftly and easily accommodated an offsite catered reception and the food was truly amazing. I have had so many guests tell me it was the best food they’ve ever had (not an exaggeration). Thomas and Toby were so fun behind the bar and definitely helped keep the party going! We cannot thank the team enough and I could not recommend The Chanterelle more!!

Many thanks to the Chanterelle for dreaming up their outstanding Mother’s Day boxed Brunch.
From the lovely sprig of babys breath on the box to the outstanding biscuits and muffins, sausage patties, rich parfaits, jams and Creme Fraiche, the flavours and combinations had the taste and feel of a high end cafe. To sum it up in one word….PERFECTION!

My partner and I were absolutely thrilled to have our wedding at the Chanterelle. The space is elegant yet contemporary and comfortable, whether you want the intimacy of the lounge or the charm of the spacious ballroom. The food from the Tomlin is fantastic and sure to satisfy, earning rave reviews from all our guests. The staff were so professional and accommodating, helping us to tailor our event to work within the public health requirements for gatherings during COVID 19. We had an incredible wedding and the Chanterelle played a pivotal role in making memories we will cherish forever. My daughter had a dream and vision for her wedding day as every woman does since they are a little girl. The Chanterelle, you and the staff made her dream reality.
The lounge was the perfect setting she was looking for to host the small intimate affair and sure did not disappoint. It was beautifully decorated, softly lit and set with comfortable/casual seating.
My daughter and son in- law love the downtown district and all the local entrepreneurs it has. Tomlin is a favourite and oh my… the food!! It was amazing, flavourful and plentiful. Many of the guests had never experienced the Chanterelle and were very impressed. You and your staff did an amazing job with all the details, not a thing overlooked, and she would not change a thing.

We just hosted our second special occasion, a baby shower at the Chanterelle, an elegant, spacious and beautifully appointed venue.
The staff was at the ready with any request and arranged the perfect layout. Service was outstanding and guests were greeted with sparkling wine and bubbly refreshments. The buffet couldn’t have been more perfect with beautifully arranged platters, diverse dishes for every preference and the presentation matched the exceptional quality.
The level of service, the food and the airy elegance of the surroundings drew many compliments on this happy occasion.

Recently EcoSuperior Environmental Programs in partnership with Learning for a Sustainable Future (LSF) hosted a teacher PD session focused on Climate Change Education. We wanted a venue with lots of natural light and that showcased Thunder Bay – local venue, local food etc. Maelyn was a pleasure to communicate with. She is thorough, approachable and always had our best interest in mind. The onsite staff were extremely professional and friendly. There was no request they couldn’t fulfill (Thumbs up Ocean & Geoff!). Thank you for helping make our two day workshop a great success – your sense of community and pride in your work shines through.

We also would like to a acknowledge the incredible menu that Franco prepared. He was accommodating to our requests and the meals exceeded our expectations. Our guests are still talking about the exceptional quality and quantity of food provided.

The service and bar staff was also fantastic, they were polite, professional and skilled. They mixed custom drinks on the spot that were delicious.

We hosted our wedding reception at The Chanterelle on Saturday; however, the amazing service did not start that night.

We had a long engagement and booked The Chanterelle before it was announced as a new venue to the public. It was in the beginning stages of construction, so all we saw was a brick wall and a wood floor. We trusted their vision and were ecstatic to have Tomlin as the caterer. Maelyn stayed in regular contact and invited us several times to view the progress as The Chanterelle was renovated. It was fun to share in this process knowing we would be celebrating such an important day here.

Although the service before the week of the wedding was amazing, on the day of the wedding and the days leading up Maelyn was exceptional. Not only did she allow us to set up and decorate the day before, but she went out of the way and set up all of our flower arrangements when they were delivered. She coordinated every detail of the evening flawlessly.

It was wonderful to arrive at the wedding reception and completely relax. We knew it was going to be a phenomenal night and we haven’t stopped hearing compliments about the food, drinks and service all week.

Thank you to all of the staff from the bottom of our hearts for going above and beyond to help our wedding reception be better than we could have imagined. We can’t wait until our next event at The Chanterelle!

I had my wedding reception at the Chanterelle in October, we had signed up to have our wedding there before the Reno’s were even close to being done- and did they ever exceed our expectations! Things went so smoothly and you were all very attentive to detail. Knowing you were in charge left us with nothing to worry about! The server Geoff was especially amazing too, very attentive to every need and waited for us to finish things before clearing everything. He and some other servers helped us clear out the floral backdrop at the end too which was so above and beyond helpful. We found everyone responsive to accommodating my sister and her baby who had to eat a bit earlier and leave earlier which was really nice. So gracious and never seemed annoyed to help out or change the plan. The food was amazing of course.

It was honestly such an amazing experience working with you all and every one of our guests had positive things to say too!! I’m already trying to think of other events I can justify having there!

I held an event recently at The Chanterelle on Park and was very impressed with the entire process. Maelyn was very attentive in assuring my wishes were all in place the night of the event. The staff were all very helpful, hard working and professional. When the power went out (no fault of yours of course) your team found a battery-operated speaker so the party could go on. Good thing, since there were no talented singers in the crowd. Lol!
